Hello—thanks for visiting my website.

I'm Ed, and (among other things) I am a freelance writer living in west Tennessee. I have written for
Christianity Today, Christ & Pop Culture, Relevant Online, The Curator, byFaith, Youthworker Journal, About This Particular Macintosh, the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, and others. I am a regular contributor to byFaith magazine, and an occasional blogger. In the past I was also a regular columnist and product reviewer for tech magazines Low End Mac and About This Particular Macintosh.

In addition to my article writing, I have published several books:
Grafted Into The Vine (a booklet on church membership), For All The Saints (a book on praying for the local church), From M.Div. to Rev. (a guide for seminary students making the transition into pastoral ministry), and Covenant Discipleship (a curriculum for communicant's classes in the church); besides that, I was the editor for an updated version of William the Baptist by James M. Chaney, and co-editor of Firstfruits of a New Creation (a collection of essays interacting with the teachings of Jerram Barrs).

My writing primarily focuses on theology, ethics, culture, technology, and church-related matters. However, I enjoy learning about new things and have a diverse range of interests, so I can easily become engrossed in new topics. I have been interviewed for my expertise in technology (CNN.com), pastoral transition (
byFaith magazine), and church ministry (Covenant magazine). I've also been a photographer since my teens, and my photos have been published in Columbia Metropolitan magazine, The State newspaper, Covenant magazine, and elsewhere. And I've given lectures at Covenant Theological Seminary, Reformed Theological Seminary, Ridgehaven, the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), and several other conferences and churches.

I also am a freelance editor and designer. I work as a staff editor for
The Curator, and have edited articles, books, and other pieces for Ligonier Ministries, Crossway, byFaith magazine, the Presbyterion theological journal, and others. Find more about my freelance work at www.eubankscreative.com.

I was born in Columbia, South Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. I also have a Master of Divinity from Covenant Seminary. My wife and I have four children. I have served several churches as a youth minister and pastor, taught logic, rhetoric, Bible, and writing in a Christian high school, and work with a ministry called Doulos Resources.

I'm currently working on several books, including a re-examination of several biblical words that Christians have come to mis-use in teaching and conversation (tentatively titled YOU'VE HEARD IT SAID: BIBLE WORDS WE USE POORLY). If you want to get me talking, ask me about that book—or any of the other writing interests that I have.

I believe that words and writing are a valuable catalyst for empowering people to flourish, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share them with others.
